Here’s why I need a nikon d70:
SLRs show live optical images on ground glass that goes black for an instant when you take the picture. The image in a real SLR never freezes or gets jumpy because it’s live. Likewise you can look into the lens of a real SLR and you’ll see directly out of the viewfinder just like looking through binoculars the wrong way.
Coincidentally, it’s also why I need a goddamn job.
