    Quick Question

    2003 days ago

Think of all the stuff in the world – some of it beyond good, some bone crushingly bad – I just want to ask a quick question. Can one outweigh the other? Do the amazing things that we (or at least I) can do now eclipse the bad? 100 years from now, what will people think of us? If we manage to kill ourselves off, will all the amazing things we’ve accomplished have been worth it? Yes/no: Is it all that big a deal? Does anybody even know.

I’ll sure miss Arrested Development. Best TV show ever.

I remember that I caught onto the first episode of the first season mostly by chance, but I’ve been more then hooked ever since.

I watched episodes 10, 11, and 12, and it sounds like there’s an episode 13 out there – but the copy I downloaded was identical to 12.

And please dear god, I hope Ron Howard was hinting at an AD movie at the end of episode 12. Maeby was discussing the TV series that her family had just signed the rights away to, with Ron Howard, and Howard said it wouldn’t make much of a TV show, but that he wanted to see it as a movie.

    Squidoo : Arrested Development

    Please God, let AD live.

In fact, new viewers may find themselves overwhelmed by the constant barrage of jokes, particularly if, having watched more conventional comedies on network TV, they are unaccustomed to finding such a high level of quality and quantity of humor.

I found two interviews with Mitch Hurwitz, the guy behind the show. And of course instead of working I’m going to be doing them for the next hour.

    Kong! Kong! Kong! Kong!

I’ve never seen a movie that so comprehensively crapped on any and all opposition, that so savagely went for your throat and held you by it until you begged for mercy. God knows how it’ll stand up to repeated viewings – it’s not a short film and there are patches where you could find fault – but for the moment I can only say that there’s never been a blockbuster like this, it’s going to clean up everywhere and I’d put money on it putting years on Speilberg. Unbeatable. Amazing. Must see. Wow. Tom Coates, on King Kong

    My 2004 Reading List

    2590 days ago

I figured for the end of the year I would log and link to all the entries for books I’ve read this year, all 34 of ‘em in descending order by date. I rated and wrote a little about all of them too, which was a lot more then I was planning on doing an hour ago.
