I read it in french, for french class, and it felt good. I understood it and was even able to think about it – and I’m finally getting to the point where I seldom think about french in english – but my mind works it all out without pulling the ‘what does this mean in english?’ card. Thats great, and I can’t wait to read more stuff.
Some of St. X’s ideas in this book are fantastic, and remind me a lot of Thoreau in Walden and Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes in how he portrays the world as such an absurd and nonsensical way.
