Giovanni’s Room was an interesting book, dealing with a gay man living in Paris during the fifties. Not my favorite genre; I really like fantasy books or maybe mystery novels, either way good worthless fiction, but Giovanni’s Room isn’t a bad book, just not the kind I would have picked myself.
spoiler: David is ultimately disappointed with his sexuality after not being able to keep himself from becoming something of an “old fairy,” and the book really just end’s after Giovanni is executed.
