    Visual Explanation

Great book, I finished it a few days ago and it’s still around keeping my attention from other things. Dry in places, but absolutely stuffed with great bits.

A great book – I don’t even have much say. Tufte illustrates his case for clear and simple information visualization brilliantly, using cases of successes and failures in problem solving which have occurred in the past.
This book was absolutely beautiful. Pages, Illustrations, text. I couldn’t bring myself to write in the margin or underline anything and thus came out of the book with only one note:

Make all visual distinctions as subtle as possible, but still clear and effective. 73, The Smallest Effective Difference

Simple in actuality, but very difficult to achieve.
