An cursory overview of the physics behind light and color in the outdoors. Shadow, reflection, refraction, light traveling through the atmosphere, rainbows, and the like. In places a bit technical, but I mostly just ignored any formulas that came up, and it was for the most part comprehensible to someone with no particular knowledge of physics. Cool stuff.
At an austrian lake (Königsee) people shoot at the reflection of a target in the water, and the bullet enters the lake and bends back out to hit the target. 16
Iridescent clouds: colored clouds. I saw a nice red cloud just a few days ago while skiing, but I don’t think it was iridescent. It was a real thin cloud at high altitude and must have scattered the blue light, leaving red/yellow, the sun was out of my view behind the mountain. I’d never heard of clouds actually being colored, it sounds cool.
