Me and the family made our winter exodus to my grandparents place in Montana, packing up the car with six people a dog and lots of piles of crap. We visited with family and skied mostly, it was a good time.
...was great. The family spent two days driving in the van to Montana to see the parents of my mother, celebrate christmas, then haul the van a few hours to Idaho to visit more of the maternal family, back to Montana, then back to good old Minneapolis.
We skiied lots, at Big Mountain , because the hill we normally ski on was closed due to inadequate snow. It was great. The mountain was crowded as hell, but serviced by really fast quad lifts so you didn’t notice the crowds so much. Once you get off the two main lifts there was never a wait – I think my favorite skiing was in the bowl off the front.
Skiing was great, christmas happened too – Jesus, hooray. But even more importantly I got two weeks off school and couldn’t have possibly liked it more. It must be the senioritis talking.
